Configuration Steps
Step 1. Choose an existing or edit an unused SSID to configure
Navigate to:
Wireless > Configure > SSIDs
● Create new SSID, example: New York Guest Wifi
Pro tip: adding wings or other symbol to the beginning and end of the SSID name will bump this guest network to the top of the available wifi networks on guest’s connecting devices.
example: - New York Guest WiFi -
or #NewYorkGuestWiFi
Step 2. Access control settings
Navigate to:
Wireless > Configure > Access Control
● Select newly created guest wifi SSID to edit from drop down list
● Set the following: *any sections not mentioned in this guide leave to default settings*
● Network access > Association Requirements > Select: Open
● Splash page > Sign-on with > Select: my Radius server
● Add Radius server info:
- [will be provided by your account manager]
● Radius accounting > Select: Disabled
● Captive portal strength > Select: Block all access until sign-on is complete
● Walled garden > Select: Walled garden is enabled
○ Add the following domains to walled garden then save progress:
■ socialsign.in
■ *.socialsign.in
○ Note: If when attempting to save settings, Meraki shows an error that domains are not allowed to be whitelisted, call Meraki support and ask them to enable domain whitelisting (recommended for faster response) or submit a new case ticket to support asking them to do so in Help > Cases.
Step 3. Configure your splash page settings
Navigate to:
Wireless > Configure > Splash page
● Select newly created guest wifi SSID to edit from drop-down list
● Set ‘custom splash page URL’ to: https://socialsign.in/spot + any additional parameters provided by SocialSign.in support team.
*On a client to client basis according to deployment strategy, SocialSign.in may need the following:
- AP tags
- MAC addresses for all wireless access points
- AP group names
This should complete the SocialSign.in network configuration needs.
We recommend that you keep this SSID in a Hidden mode until confirmed by SocialSign.in that the user experience is ready for deployment - this can be done in Wireless > Configure > SSID Availability. If there are additional internal needs for network settings that are not mentioned in this guide, please contact your account manager or support@socialsign.in for assistance.
